Product description
Black wire rope in 1mm - 8mm thickness.
Our black steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to rope class 7x7 and 7x19, which means 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is ideal for securing, lifting and suspending suitable loads.
High safety standard: The payload of the steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load.
Tested quality: we use only high quality industrial steel for our wire ropes. With the help of several of our own calibrated universal tensile testing machines, we are able to guarantee complete quality assurance. For their application, a works certificate according to DIN EN 10204-2.2 or a meaningful test report can be issued. Black wire ropes have limited corrosion resistance and are therefore not suitable for outdoor use.
Versatile uses: Among other applications, wire ropes are used in crafts, bridge, engineering and shipbuilding. In addition, they continue to be used as a decorative element in the garden or shop window area.
Various extension options: The product can of course be installed with matching wire rope clips or a rope lock, tensioned with wire rope tensioners and secured with snap hooks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which side cutters can be used to cut this rope well?
It is best to cut the steel cable with a suitable Felco wire rope cutter. You cannot cut the steel cable with a conventional side cutter.
How are the wire ropes coated?
The wire ropes are chemically blackened.
Is the black wire rope suitable for outdoor use?
Black wire ropes are only partially corrosion-resistant and therefore not suitable for outdoor use.
How can the tensile force of Newton/mm², from the technical details, be converted into the maximum weight that the wire rope can safely withstand?
To calculate the minimum breaking force, divide the minimum breaking force value from the table by the force of gravity (9.81). Example 3mm 6x19: 5,420:9.81=552.50kg.
How weather-resistant is the wire rope? Can it also be used outdoors and has a long service life? Is the wire rope susceptible to corrosion?
Our black wire ropes are partially corrosion-resistant and therefore not suitable for outdoor use.
Is this rope also suitable for rolling up with a winch?
Yes, the black wire rope can be used in conjunction with a cable winch. Please ensure that the size of the roller diameter is at least 20 times the rope diameter.
