Product description
Stainless steel rope plastic coated in 0,7 - 10mm thickness
Our plastic-coated stainless steel ropes V4A (AISI 316) comply with the DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19, which are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is ideal for securing in various applications and is increasingly used outdoors due to its high corrosion protection.
Durable workmanship: The high-quality stainless steel rope is surrounded by a 0.2-2mm thick transparent plastic sheath to protect against damage and dirt, as well as for easy handling. The PVC sheath protects your items from abrasion or scratches and is especially good for moving applications.
Tested quality: For our stainless steel ropes we use only high quality stainless steel. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. A works certificate according to DIN EN 10204-2.2 or a meaningful test report can be issued for their application.
Versatile anti-theft protection: The stainless steel ropes can be used as anti-theft devices for garden furniture, patio furniture, baby carriages, bicycles, motorcycles or helmets. Countless goods and objects in the home and garden, as well as sports and camping can be easily and quickly secured with this wire rope as an anti-theft device.
Various expansion options: The product can of course be installed with matching wire rope clips or a rope lock, tensioned with wire rope tensioners and secured with snap hooks.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the information in brackets after the thickness mean? For example, 6mm (4 by 6)?
The numbers in brackets describe the thickness of the wire rope with and without sheathing. In this example, the wire rope without sheathing is 4mm thick and including the plastic sheathing it is 6mm.
Can I also use the coated stainless steel rope 6/4 as a clothesline and if so, can I also attach it with the stainless steel clamps 6 mm?
Yes, the coated stainless steel rope can be used as a clothesline and must be attached with 6mm stainless steel wire rope clamps. In order to be able to tension the stainless steel rope, I would recommend a suitable turnbuckle.
How can the tensile force of Newton/mm², from the technical details, be converted into the maximum weight that the wire rope can safely withstand?
To calculate the minimum breaking force, divide the minimum breaking force value from the table by the force of gravity (9.81). Example 3mm 6x19: 5,420:9.81=552.50kg.
Are these coated stainless steel ropes treated with oils - I want to use them as a clothesline and oil residues would be bad.
The coated stainless steel ropes are not treated with oil and are ideal for use as a clothesline.
Can the sheathing at the ends be removed over a length of 2-3cm? It's almost like stripping a cable.
Yes, this is easily possible with a knife.
What wire rope thickness do you recommend for a clothesline?
For a clothesline we recommend a rope thickness of 4mm (3 by 4).
