Black Wire Rope Holders with Internal Thread for 1.5mm - 3mm Ropes

Our black wire rope holders with a short, metric M4 or M6 internal right-hand thread and a lock nut. With the lock nut screwed on, wire and steel ropes can be continuously adjusted in length and then fixed in place with the tightened nut. Suitable components, such as eyebolts, with metric external threads can be fastened in the short internal thread. Wire rope holders are used to suspend suitable loads from wire ropes, adjust their height and do not require any additional tools.

Tested quality: The wire rope holders, also called wire rope grippers, can be used for 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm and 3mm steel ropes. Due to the low breaking forces, we recommend to use wire rope holders only for light suspensions. With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of the wire rope sliders with internal thread could be determined:

• 1.5mm: 78kg
• 2mm: 127kg
• 2.5mm: 265kg
• 3mm: 326kg

Attention. The breaking forces of the wire rope sliders are given without safety factor. Please apply at least a 5-fold safety factor for your application (example 2mm: 127kg (breaking load) : 5 (safety factor) = 25kg (working load)). Easy handling: With the help of the locking nut of the wire rope holder, the used wire rope can be easily and quickly adjusted in height. The wire rope holder is fixed on the rope by the screwed locking nut and slipping is prevented. Inside the wire rope holder are three balls, which are held in the cone by a spring. Once the desired height of the wire rope holder is reached, the balls clamp the rope. The wire rope is not damaged during this process. With the help of the metric internal thread, suitable eyebolts, screws, hooks or suitable attachments with metric thread can be firmly connected to the Gripper.

Versatile applications: Rope connectors with wire rope grips are only to be used for the application of the determined working loads. When using them, please make absolutely sure that the locking nut is hand-tight, otherwise the wire rope may slip. Wire rope holders can be optimally used for applications where the length has to be adjusted on site. Possible applications for this include suspended pictures, lamps or other objects.

Easy expansion options: Wire rope holders are only to be used for the application of the determined payloads. When using, please make absolutely sure that the locking nut is hand-tight, otherwise the wire rope may slip through. Wire rope grippers with internal thread are very filigree and make a very high-quality optical impression.
