Product description
PVC coated wire rope in 3-12mm thickness.
Our galvanized and plastic-coated steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 6x7 and 6x19, which are 6 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is ideal for securing in a wide variety of applications and is used both indoors and outdoors.
Durable workmanship: the high-quality wire rope is surrounded by a 1-2mm thick transparent plastic sheath to protect it from damage and dirt, as well as for easy handling. The PVC sheath protects your items from abrasion and scratches.
Tested quality: we use only high quality industrial steel for our wire ropes. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. A works certificate according to DIN EN 10204-2.2 or a meaningful test report can be issued for their application.
Versatile theft protection: The wire ropes can be used as merchandise security ropes, to secure baby carriages, garden furniture, bicycles, motorcycles and helmets, as well as catering furniture. Countless goods and objects in the home and garden, as well as sports and camping can be easily and quickly secured with this wire rope as an anti-theft device.
Various extension options: The product can of course be installed with matching wire rope clips or a rope lock, tensioned with wire rope tensioners and secured with snap hooks.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the information in brackets after the thickness mean? For example, 6mm (4 by 6)?
The numbers in brackets describe the thickness of the wire rope with and without sheathing. In this example, the wire rope without sheathing is 4mm thick and including the plastic sheathing it is 6mm.
How can I find out the pulley diameter for a sheathed rope?
The minimum bending radius of a coated wire rope must be at least 20 times the diameter of the steel rope inside the coating.
Does the rope have a fiber or steel core?
The coated wire ropes all have a fiber core.
Is the UV-stable coating suitable for outdoor use?
The sheathing of the wire ropes is very UV-resistant. In an outdoor test over a period of more than 3 years, no change in the sheathing could be detected.
How can the tensile force of Newton/mm², from the technical details, be converted into the maximum weight that the wire rope can safely withstand?
To calculate the minimum breaking force, divide the minimum breaking force value from the table by the force of gravity (9.81). Example 3mm 6x7: 2,350:9.81=239.50kg.
