Product description
PVC black coated wire rope in 3mm - 10mm thickness
Our black plastic-coated steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to rope class 7x19, which means 7 strands with 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is ideal for securing in a wide variety of applications and is used both indoors and outdoors.
Durable workmanship: the high-quality wire rope is surrounded by a 1-2mm thick black plastic sheath to protect it from damage and dirt, as well as for easy handling. The PVC sheathing protects your items from abrasion and scratches.
Tested quality: we use only high quality industrial steel for our wire ropes. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. A works certificate according to DIN EN 10204-2.2 or a meaningful test report can be issued for their application.
Versatile theft protection: The wire ropes can be used as merchandise security ropes, to secure baby carriages, garden furniture, bicycles, motorcycles and helmets, as well as catering furniture. Countless goods and objects in the home and garden, as well as sports and camping can be easily and quickly secured with this wire rope as an anti-theft device.
Various extension options: The product can of course be installed with matching wire rope clips or a rope lock, tensioned with wire rope tensioners and secured with snap hooks.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the information in brackets after the thickness mean? For example, 6mm (4 by 6)?
The numbers in brackets describe the thickness of the wire rope with and without sheathing. In this example, the wire rope without sheathing is 4mm thick and including the plastic sheathing it is 6mm.
What does the word in brackets after the strength mean? For example (soft)?
The word in brackets describes the flexibility and the stretch of the wire rope. Below is an overview of the different designs: 6x19, 7x19 (Soft: "Soft wire ropes"; high stretch and slight flexibility) | 7x7, 6x7 (Medium-soft: "Running wire ropes"; medium stretch and normal flexibility) | 1x19 (Hard/Stiff: "Standing wire ropes"; little stretch and very little flexibility) | 1x7 (Very Hard/Stiff: "Standing wire ropes"; no stretch and no flexibility)
For the steel cable 3 to 4, do I use 3mm or 4mm clamps?
The size of the clamp must be adapted to the thickness of the wire rope including the plastic coating. For a 4mm wire rope (3 by 4) a 4mm clamp must be selected.
How can the tensile force of Newton/mm², from the technical details, be converted into the maximum weight that the wire rope can safely withstand?
To calculate the minimum breaking force, divide the minimum breaking force value from the table by the force of gravity (9.81). Example 3mm 6x19: 5,420:9.81=552.50kg.
Is the PVC sheath UV resistant?
Yes, the PVC plastic coating is UV-resistant.
How long is the lifespan outdoors under UV exposure?
An outdoor test over a period of 3 years showed no changes.
What is the minimum diameter of the pulley if the rope is to be deflected by 90° or 180°?
When using a pulley, make sure that the pulley diameter is at least 20 times the inner rope diameter.
