Clamp Stopper Stainless Steel V4A AISI 316 for 2mm - 8mm Ropes
Our one-piece clamp stoppers made of V4A AISI 316 stainless steel with grub screw are ideally suited as fasteners on steel ropes for use as stop clamps.
Tested quality: The stainless steel clamp stops are made of high-quality, seawater-resistant V4A stainless steel and are therefore ideal for permanent outdoor use. The polished surface not only enhances the appearance but also increases corrosion resistance. Using calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following minimum breaking forces of the clamp stops were determined:
- 2 mm: 127 kg
- 3 mm: 117 kg
- 4 mm: 183 kg
- 5 mm: 367 kg
- 6 mm: 153 kg
- 8 mm: 183 kg
Attention! The breaking forces of the stainless steel clamp stops are specified without a safety factor. Please add at least a 3-fold safety factor for your application. The detailed test reports can be found under “Test reports” on the article page.
Easy handling: The clamp stoppers, which consist of only one part, can be attached to the steel cable very easily with the help of a suitable Allen key.
Versatile applications: Clamp stoppers or also called rope clamp rings, serve perfectly as a fastener on wire ropes and fulfill the purpose of a stop clamp. With the help of the clamp stopper can be, for example, shelves. The clamp stoppers are also ideal for use as a climbing aid for roses, vines or similar.

I have a question. Could you please check whether the clamp would also fit 1.5mm rope? How far down does the grub screw go?
In fact, the grub screw of the 2mm clamp stopper clamps the wire rope so tightly that the stoppers can even be used for a 1mm wire rope and hold excellently.
What load can the clamp stopper carry with a 3mm rope?
The clamp stopper starts to slip at a weight of 117 kg. We recommend using a 5-fold safety factor and only loading the clamp stopper up to a maximum of 23 kg.
What diameter do I need for the 4/6 plastic coated rope?
For optimum durability, the sheath of the wire rope should be removed and the clamp stopper size 4mm should be used. Alternatively, the clamp stopper size 6mm can be used without removing the sheath.
