Silver stainless steel wire rope set with 2mm - 10mm ropes
Our saltwater resistant stainless steel ropes A4(AISI 316) comply with the DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19, these are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is available in thicknesses from 2 - 10mm and in lengths from 1m - 50m. In addition, six stainless steel wire rope clamps, two stainless steel thimbles and two M5, M6, M8, M10 or M12 stainless steel turnbuckles are included.
Tested quality: For our stainless steel wire rope sets we use only high quality V4A AISI 316 stainless steel. With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of the stainless steel wire rope clamps DIN 741 and turnbuckles hook / eye DIN 1480 could be determined:
- Wire rope clamps 2mm: 280kg
- Wire rope clamps 3mm: 601kg
- Wire rope clamps 4mm: 1.100kg
- Wire rope clamps 5mm: 1.682kg
- Wire rope clamps 6mm: 2.446kg
- Wire rope clamps 8mm: 3.670kg
- Wire rope clamps 10mm: 2.854kg
- Turnbuckle M5: 204kg
- Turnbuckle M6: 265kg
- Turnbuckle M8: 449kg
- Turnbuckle M10: 765kg
- Turnbuckle M12: 1.121kg
Attention! The breaking forces of the rope clamps & turnbuckles are specified without safety factor. Please add at least a 3-5-fold safety factor for your application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.
Versatile applications: Our stainless steel wire rope sets are ideally suited for self-assembly, whereby the stainless clamps, with the help of a suitable wrench, are pressed onto two wire rope parts. Self-assembly also allows you to determine how large the loops at the ends. Due to its seawater resistance, stainless steel wire rope clamps are popular for outdoor use.
Important safety note: Custom-made wire rope terminations often do not comply with the DIN European standard. Proper installation of the wire rope set is of great importance, please contact us if there are any questions.

Hello, what is the min. bending radius of 3mm and 4 mm stainless steel rope?
The smallest permissible bending radius of a 3mm stainless steel rope is 60mm and for a 4mm rope it is 80mm.
Are the accessories (thimbles, tensioners, clamps) also made of V4A or only V2A?
All accessories are also made of V4A AISI 316 stainless steel.
