Stainless steel rope in 2mm - 10mm thickness with thread terminal
Our salt water resistant stainless steel ropes A4(AISI 316) comply with the DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 1x19, 7x7 and 7x19, these are one or 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. Stainless steel ropes of 1x19 construction are considered "stiff" and less flexible due to the low number of individual wires. 7x7 and 7x19 constructions, on the other hand, offer high flexibility due to the high number of individual wires. The wire rope is crimped at one end with a stainless steel threaded terminal with metric thread M4, M5, M6, M8, M10, M12, M16 or M20.
Tested quality: We only use high-quality industrial steel with the premium quality V4A AISI 316 for our stainless steel wire ropes, making the stainless steel wire rope resistant to both salt water and acids. With the help of several of our own calibrated universal tensile testing machines, we are able to guarantee seamless quality assurance. The following minimum breaking forces of the stainless steel cables with crimped terminals were determined in several test trials:
- 2mm / M4 threaded terminal with 7x7 steel cable: 336kg
- 2mm / M5 threaded terminal with 7x7 steel cable: 305kg
- 3mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 764kg
- 4mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1,284kg
- 4mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1,254kg
- 5mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.519kg
- 5mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.732kg
- 5mm / M10 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.743kg
- 6mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 2.344kg

Attention! The breaking forces of the terminals are specified without a safety factor. Please base your application on at least a 5-fold safety factor (example 3mm / 7x19 / threaded terminal: 764kg (breaking load) : 5 (safety factor) = 152kg (payload)). Individual length production: We manufacture your stainless steel wire ropes with threaded terminal according to exact desired dimensions for you. To do this, simply select the desired length range in which your desired dimension is located and write your exact desired length in the comment field provided. Versatile applications: The stainless steel ropes with thread can be used for suitable guy wires for sailboats, for facade greening, as a pull rope for garage doors or for stainless steel railings. The one-sided annealing separation is ideally suited for use in a winch or for connection by means of rope clamps.

Is the desired length to be entered the total length including the threaded terminal?
The specified length (desired size) refers to the complete usable length from the end of the thread to the end of the wire rope. You will find a representation of the length of the wire rope under the technical details.
Can you get the terminal with a left-facing one?
That's no problem. Please order the steel cable in the appropriate thickness and length and simply indicate your preference for a thread terminal with a left-hand thread in the comments field at the end of the order. The production department will manufacture the steel cable according to your wishes.
I need 5mm stainless steel cables with threaded terminals. The thread length has to be 110mm. Is that possible?
The thread length of our 5mm M8 terminal is 120mm, which you can of course cut off (in an emergency we can also shorten the thread for you, please just write a short comment in your order at the end of the order).
Should you use the flexible or rigid version for espalier fruit trellises (covering between 2 posts)?
For a espalier fruit trellis, the flexible version should be chosen, as the steel cable offers more surface area for the plants.
