Silver wire rope set 4 with 2mm - 16mm steel wire ropes

Our silver galvanized steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7, 6x19, 7x19 and 6x37. These are 6 or 7 strands with 7, 19 or 37 wires respectively. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is available in thicknesses of 2-16mm, in standard and in special lengths. On one side, the steel wire rope is crimped with a DIN 6899 Form B thimble to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. In addition, the scope of delivery includes four wire rope clamps, matching the thickness of the ordered rope, a thimble and an M5, M6, M8, M10, M12, M14, M16 or M20 turnbuckle.

Tested quality: We use only high quality industrial steel for our wire ropes. With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of the wire rope clamps and turnbuckles hook / eye DIN 1480 could be determined:

• wire rope clamps 5mm: 1.226kg
• wire rope clamps 6mm: 1.767kg

• Wire rope clamps 12mm: 6.790kg
• Wire rope clamps 14mm: 9.241kg
• Wire rope clamps 16mm: 12.071kg
• Turnbuckle M6: 285kg
• Turnbuckle M8: 611kg
• Turnbuckle M10: 917kg
• Turnbuckle M12: 1.223kg
• Turnbuckle M14: 1.305kg

Attention. The breaking forces of the rope clamps & turnbuckles are given without safety factor. Please add at least a 3-5 times safety factor for your application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.

Versatile applications: Our wire rope sets are ideally suited for self-assembly, in which case the U-clamps are tightened, using a suitable wrench. Self-assembly also allows you to determine the size of the loops at the ends. In addition to the assembly instructions in the Technical Details, please also note that the tightening torque of the wire rope clamps must be checked after one week, after one month and then regularly every 6 months.

Important safety note: Custom-made wire rope end connections often do not comply with the DIN European standard. Proper installation of the wire rope set is of great importance, please contact us if there are any questions.
