Product description
Silver wire rope in 3-16mm thickness, thimble/thimble with turnbuckle DIN 1480 hook/eye.
Our silver galvanized steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 6x19 and 6x37 and are 6 strands with 19 or 37 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with a DIN 6899 Form B thimble to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. In addition, the wire rope is captively swaged with a turnbuckle DIN 1480 with hook and eye with metric M6, M8, M10, M12, M14, M16 or M20 thread.
Tested quality: For our galvanized turnbuckles we use only high quality industrial steel. The installed turnbuckles of DIN 1480 with hook and eye can, due to the hook element and the associated low breaking strength, only be used for light tensioning. Using calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following minimum breaking forces of the turnbuckles could be determined:
- M6: 285kg
- M8: 611kg
- M10: 917kg
- M12: 1,223kg
- M14: 1.305kg
- M16: 1.835kg
- M20: 2.701kg
Attention. The payload of the turnbuckles is given with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page. If you need turnbuckles with higher payloads for your application, please choose a turnbuckle with eyes or use a high strength turnbuckle with forks.
Versatile uses: The tension ropes are made according to their individual desired dimensions within 1-2 working days and can be used for tensioning between suitable anchor points. With the help of the turnbuckle, the wire rope can be tensioned and released very easily and quickly.
Various extension options: The product can of course be attached with suitable snap hooks, shackles or quick links or tensioned with another turnbuckle.

How exactly do I specify the desired size if I need a rope to tension (with a tensioner) for an interior wall dimension of 4.46m distance?
The wire ropes are manufactured with the tensioner ¾ open (i.e. 75% unwound) so that your desired length corresponds exactly to the actual usable length. You will find a technical drawing for this under the technical details. You will therefore need the length from attachment point to attachment point.
