Product description
Silver wire rope in 5-16mm thickness, loop/thimble with eye hook grade 8.
Our silver galvanized steel wire ropes comply with the DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 6x19 and 6x37 and are 6 strands with 19 or 37 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped on one side with a loop (diameter: rope thickness factor 15). In addition, the wire rope is grouted with a thimble DIN 6899 Form B and an eye hook of grade 8 according to DIN EN 1677-1 with safety latch and large eye.
High safety standard: The working load of the steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load and is swaged according to DIN-EN 12385-4. From a rope diameter of 8mm, there is a marking, according to the mentioned DIN, on the crimping clamp.
Tested load hooks: Our steel ropes are pressed with a high-strength load hook of grade 8. Due to the closed eye, the load hooks can demonstrate very high breaking forces. With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of the load hooks could be determined:
1.12t load hook: 4,475kg
2t load hook: 8.002kg
3,15t load hook: 12.600kg
Attention. No safety factor is taken into account when specifying the minimum breaking load. It is absolutely necessary to consider the working load of the wire ropes during the application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.
Versatile uses: Wire ropes are used for securing, lifting and suspending suitable loads in trades, bridge, engineering and shipbuilding, among others. Especially eye or load hooks serve optimally as load suspension of various objects, but can also be used as forestry rope.

What wire rope thickness is the wire rope with loop and eye hook suitable for a rolling load up to 1.8t?
For rolling loads (e.g. tow ropes), the minimum breaking strength of the wire rope is used as a basis. In your case, you can therefore use a 6mm thick wire rope.
