Which thimbles do I need for coated steel cable, for example 8mm (6 on 8)?
For 8mm (6 by 8) wire ropes you need RW 10 thimbles for 8mm wire ropes. The second number in the selection field "Groove width/rope thickness" describes the recommended rope thickness.
Can I bend the thimbles?
The thimbles can be bent open and closed again in order to connect them to eyelets or turnbuckles.
