Silver wire rope in 2-16mm thickness, thimble/thimble
Our silver galvanized steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7, 6x19, 7x19 and 6x37. These are 6 or 7 strands with 7, 19 or 37 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with a DIN 6899 Form B thimble to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. In addition to the DIN standard size, thimbles in special sizes are also available.
High safety standard: The working load of the steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load and is crimped in accordance with DIN-EN 12385-4. From a rope diameter of 8mm, there is a marking, according to the mentioned DIN, on the crimping clamp.
Tested quality: We use only high quality industrial steel for our wire ropes. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. A works certificate according to DIN EN 10204-2.2 or a meaningful test report can be issued for your application.
Versatile applications: Wire ropes are used for securing, lifting and suspending suitable loads in the trades, bridge, engineering and shipbuilding sectors, among others. In addition, they continue to be used as a decorative element in gardens or shop windows.
Various extension options: The product can of course be tensioned with suitable turnbuckles and fastened with snap hooks, shackles or quick links.

Does the wire rope with the article number DS10102.59 consist of a rope with 7*19 strands?
The 8mm wire rope is available in 6x19 with fiber core and 7x19 with steel core. If nothing is specified, 6x19 will always be used. If you want 7x19, please state this in the comments field for your order. The price does not change and is €18.20 for 8mm in 3m.
What does the length specification refer to, approximately middle of thimble to middle of thimble?
The specified length (desired size) refers to the complete usable length from the load-bearing point of the thimble to the load-bearing point of the thimble. You can find a representation of the length of the wire rope under the technical details.
How high is the ferrule for a 4mm steel cable?
After pressing, the press clamp always has twice the rope diameter, i.e. 8mm for a 4mm steel rope.
What is the outside dimension of the thimble for an 8mm rope? Will it fit into the hook of an M8 turnbuckle (approx. 11mm)?
The outer dimension is 42mm and does not fit into the hook of our turnbuckles.
