Product description
Silver wire rope in 1-16mm thickness, loop/loop
Our silver galvanized steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7, 6x19, 7x19 and 6x37. These are 6 or 7 strands with 7, 19 or 37 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped with a loop at both ends.
High safety standard: The working load of the steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load and is crimped in accordance with DIN-EN 12385-4. From a rope diameter of 8mm, there is a marking, according to the mentioned DIN, on the crimping clamp.
Tested quality: We use only high quality industrial steel for our wire ropes. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. A works certificate according to DIN EN 10204-2.2 or a meaningful test report can be issued for your application.
Versatile applications: Wire ropes are used for securing, lifting and suspending suitable loads in the trades, bridge, engineering and shipbuilding sectors, among others. In addition, they continue to be used as a decorative element in gardens or shop windows.
Various extension options: The product can of course be tensioned with suitable turnbuckles and fastened with snap hooks, shackles or quick links.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the diameter of the eyelets of the wire rope?
The loops of the wire ropes are pressed together uniformly according to DIN specifications and have a size of the rope diameter factor of 15, resulting in the following loop heights and widths: 1mm rope thickness: 15mm loop height inside, 7mm loop width inside | 1.5mm rope thickness: 23mm loop height inside, 15mm loop width inside | 2mm rope thickness: 30mm loop height inside, 15mm loop width inside | 3mm rope thickness: 45mm loop height inside, 22mm loop width inside | 4mm rope thickness: 60mm loop height inside, 29mm loop width inside | 5mm rope thickness: 75m loop height inside, 34mm loop width inside | 6mm rope thickness: 90mm loop height inside, 38mm loop width inside | 8mm rope thickness: 120mm loop height inside, 56mm loop width inside | 10mm rope thickness: 150mm loop height inside, 70mm loop width inside | 12mm rope thickness: 180mm loop height inside, 84mm loop width inside | 14mm rope thickness: 210mm loop height inside, 97mm loop width inside | 16mm rope thickness: 240mm loop height inside, 115mm loop width inside
Is it possible to pass one loop through the other loop?
Yes, the loop size allows one loop to pass through the other loop.
I need a much shorter version (approx. 100mm total length) of the 1mm rope with 2 loops. Is this possible at a reasonable price if I take 20 off?
Special lengths and larger quantities can be requested via the special length request (https://www.drahtseile24.de/sonderlaengenanfrage) or directly by email (info@drahtseile24.de). You will receive an offer within a maximum of 12 hours.
Does the length of the rope include the loops?
The specified length refers to the complete usable length from the load-bearing point of the loop to the load-bearing point of the loop. You can find a representation of the length of the wire rope under the technical details.
To what minimum diameter can the loops of the wire ropes be compressed?
The minimum loop width per rope diameter is listed below: 1mm rope thickness: 3mm minimum loop width | 1.5mm rope thickness: 7mm minimum loop width | 2mm rope thickness: 8mm minimum loop width | 3mm rope thickness: 15mm minimum loop width | 4mm rope thickness: 19mm minimum loop width | 5mm rope thickness: 26mm minimum loop width | 6mm rope thickness: 33mm minimum loop width | 8mm rope thickness: 43mm minimum loop width | 10mm rope thickness: 58mm minimum loop width | 12mm rope thickness: 85mm minimum loop width | 14mm rope thickness: 106mm minimum loop width | 16mm rope thickness: 128mm minimum loop width
How big is the diameter of the crimp? For example, for a wire rope with a diameter of 6mm?
The diameter of the crimp is always the diameter of the rope thickness x 2. In your example of a 6mm thick wire rope, the crimp has a diameter of 12mm.
What size loop fits over a 50mm pipe?
A wire rope with a thickness of 8mm has an inner loop width of 56mm and is therefore ideal.
