PVC black coated wire rope in 4mm - 8mm thickness, thimble/thimble
Our black plastic-coated steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to rope class 7x19, i.e. 7 strands with 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with a thimble, in addition, the crimping clamp is also surrounded with a PVC coating, so that no scratches are left on objects.
Durable finish: the high quality wire rope is surrounded by a 1-2mm thick black plastic sheath to protect it from damage and dirt, as well as for easy handling. The PVC sheath protects your items from abrasion and scratches.
Tested quality: With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of the black coated steel ropes with thimbles could be determined:
- 3mm (2 auf 3): 239kg
- 4mm (3 auf 4): 552kg
- 6mm (4 auf 6): 981kg
- 8mm (6 auf 8): 1.994kg
- 10mm (8 auf 10): 3.926kg

Versatile theft protection: The wire ropes can, due to the high flexibility, be optimally used as sheathed steel ropes for various fitness equipment, weight stations and lat pulls.
Versatile applications: The product can of course be extended and fastened with suitable snap hooks.

The numbers in brackets describe the thickness of the wire rope with and without sheathing. In this example, the wire rope without sheathing is 4mm thick and including the plastic sheathing it is 6mm.
Is it possible to produce a wire rope (4/6 mm) to the exact length of 2.33 m (including eyelets) for a fitness device?
Yes, definitely. Please always state the desired usable length from load-bearing point to load-bearing point. The underlying dimensions can be found in the technical details.
What is the minimum diameter of the rope pulley recommended for the "Wire rope coated black with thimbles 4mm"?
When used with a pulley, the size of the pulley diameter should be at least 20 times the diameter of the steel cable. The 4mm coated wire rope has an inner steel cable thickness of 30mm, so the pulley diameter should be at least 60mm.
I have a hole with a diameter of about 2 centimeters. What is the maximum thickness I could buy for 2 centimeters?
The 4mm wire rope has a diameter of 24mm at the thimble. Alternatively, you can use a 4mm (3 by 4) sheathed wire rope with loops.
