Our black steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19, which are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with a DIN 6899 Form B thimble to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. In addition to the DIN standard size, thimbles in special sizes are also available.

High safety standard: The working load of the steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load and is swaged in accordance with DIN-EN 12385-4. From a rope diameter of 8mm a marking, according to the mentioned DIN, takes place on the crimping clamp. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. During several test trials, the following minimum breaking forces of the stainless steel ropes could be determined:

• 1mm: 77kg
• 1.5mm: 145kg
• 2mm: 259kg
• 2.5mm: 519kg
• 3mm: 588kg
• 4mm: 1.045kg
• 5mm: 1.633kg
• 6mm: 2.603kg
• 8mm: 4.180kg

 Attention. When specifying the minimum breaking load, no safety factor is taken into account. The working load of the steel ropes is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. You can find the detailed test reports under "Test reports" on the article page.

Tested quality: We use only high quality industrial steel for our wire ropes. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. For their application, a works certificate according to DIN EN 10204-2.2 or a meaningful test report can be issued. Black wire ropes have limited corrosion resistance and are therefore not suitable for outdoor use.

Versatile uses: Wire ropes are used for securing, lifting and suspending suitable loads in trades, bridge, engineering and shipbuilding, among others. In addition, they continue to be used as a decorative element in garden or shop window areas.

Various extension options: The product can of course be tensioned with suitable turnbuckles and fastened with snap hooks, shackles or quick links.
