Stainless steel threaded terminal for self-assembly with grub screw for 2mm - 6mm ropes
Our saltwater resistant V4A AISI 316 stainless steel screw terminals consist of a wire rope terminal with M6 threaded pin and lock nut, and an insert with allen grub screws for fixing the wire rope.
Proven quality: the polished screw terminal with M6 threaded pin can be used for 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm & 6mm thick steel wire rope. Made of high quality and rustproof V4A stainless steel, the screw terminals can be exposed to harsh weather conditions. Using calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following minimum breaking forces of the terminals could be determined:
- 2mm: 140kg
- 3mm: 400kg
- 4mm: 300kg
- 5mm: 530kg
- 6mm: 500kg
Attention. The breaking forces of the terminals are given without safety factor. Please note that wire rope terminals for self-assembly are not suitable for lifting and pulling loads. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.
Easy handling: With the aid of an Allen key, the wire rope terminal can be quickly and securely fastened to the steel rope by means of the three grub screws. Crimping, as with roller terminals, is not necessary. Thanks to the grub screw and the lock nut, the terminal can be attached to suitable attachment points and tensioned with the help of the nut. No further fastening materials such as snap hooks or eyebolts are required for attachment. By using a right-handed and a left-handed terminal, a steel cable can be tensioned easily and quickly.
Advantage to the rolled terminal: Stainless steel screw terminals for self-assembly can be optimally used as a connecting element to tension stainless steel cables between two fastening points. Due to the possibility of self-manufacturing, the exact length of the tensioning rope does not have to be defined in advance, but can be individually adapted to the conditions on site.

Hi, which terminals do I have to use for the 4mm coated ropes?
For a 4mm sheathed rope you should also use a 4mm terminal.
Can the threaded pin be unscrewed and replaced with a longer one?
Yes, you can unscrew the threaded pin and replace it yourself.
For a post 7x7cm: How long must the threaded pin be?
For your application, I recommend using a thread length of 120mm and cutting off the excess thread.
To stretch a wire rope between two posts, do I need one left-hand and one right-hand thread terminal? Or can I use two right-hand thread terminals?
If the terminals are pushed through the posts and tightened using the lock nut, two right-hand threads can be used. If the terminals are not pushed through the posts, left- and right-hand terminals must be used.
How far does the thread of the set screw go into the terminal?
The thread can be turned up to 30mm into the terminal.
Is there a nut for each terminal?
Yes, one nut is included for each terminal.
