Black stainless steel threaded terminal for self-assembly with angle compensation for 2mm - 6mm ropes
Our black screw terminals made of V4A stainless steel (AISI 316) are ideal for outdoor use. They consist of a wire rope terminal with an M6 threaded pin, a robust ball joint and a mounting for straight posts. The scope of delivery also includes a countersunk head screw to fix the mounting. A slot with a grub screw is used to securely fasten the wire rope.
Tested quality: The polished screw terminals with angle adjustment and mounting for straight posts can be used for 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm & 6mm thick stainless steel ropes and are available with left- and right-handed threads. The cable terminals are made of high-quality, rust-free V4A stainless steel, which means they can be used in difficult weather conditions. The following minimum breaking forces of the terminals were determined using calibrated universal tensile testing machines:
- 2mm: 140kg
- 3mm: 400kg
- 4mm: 300kg
- 5mm: 530kg
- 6mm: 500kg
Attention! The breaking forces of the terminals are given without a safety factor. Please note that wire rope terminals for self-assembly are not suitable for lifting and pulling loads. The detailed test reports can be found under âTest reportsâ on the article page.
Easy handling: the grub screws of the screw terminal can be quickly and securely fastened to the steel cable using an Allen key. The threaded bolt with ball joint allows for easy length adjustment and tensioning of the wire rope. Thanks to the jointed mounting, an angle of inclination from 0° to 80° can be compensated, so that the rope can be perfectly mounted on straight attachment points or posts. The attachment is made with the supplied raised countersunk head screw, without the need for additional materials such as snap hooks or eye bolts.
Advantage over the rolled terminal: Stainless steel screw terminals for self-assembly are ideal connecting elements for securely tensioning stainless steel cables between two attachment points. The flexible self-assembly makes it possible not to determine the cable length in advance, but to adapt it individually to local conditions. There is no need for compression, as is necessary with rolled terminals.
