Product description
Rotating arm wire rope in 3-8mm thickness with annealing separation and thimble
Our silver galvanized, three-armed steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 12385-4 and are assigned to rope class 18x7, which means 18 strands with 7 wires each. Due to the double strand layers in opposite directions, the wire rope exerts a very low torque on an unguided load. The steel wire rope is crimped at one end with a DIN 6899 Form B thimble to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. At the other end, the wire rope is annealed to make fixing in a wire rope winch possible without any problems.
High minimum breaking load: The minimum breaking load of the three-arm steel wire rope is as follows:
- 3mm: 591kg
- 4mm: 1.049kg
- 5mm: 1.636kg
- 6mm: 2.355kg
- 8mm: 4.194kg
Attention. The payload of the three-armed wire ropes is given with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load.
Use as a winch rope: The wire rope is optimally used as a winch or crane rope for lifting and pulling suitable loads, especially at high lifting heights and is used both indoors and outdoors. When using the hoist rope, make sure that the winch diameter is at least 20 times the rope diameter.
Various extension options: The three-armed wire rope can of course be attached with suitable shackles or eye hooks from the store of Drahtseile24.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our winch has an 8mm rope installed. The winch pulls 900NM and is mounted on a crane. Can I use the low-torque rope with 8mm?
Yes, definitely. The 8mm low-torque wire rope has a breaking load of 41.14kN (without safety factor) and a payload of 700kg with a 5-fold safety factor.
Can I use a 4mm steel cable swivel arm for a hand winch with a 50mm drum diameter? Thank you for your answer.
Even if the wire rope is properly greased, I would recommend a maximum of 3mm thick wire rope.
