Rotating arm wire rope with annealing separation in 5-8mm thickness, thimble and eye hook grade 8
Our silver galvanized, three-armed steel wire ropes comply with DIN European Standard 12385-4 and are assigned to rope class 18x7, i.e. 18 strands with 7 wires each. Due to the double strand layers in opposite directions, the wire rope exerts a very low torque on an unguided load. The three-strand wire rope is crimped at one end with a thimble DIN 6899 Form B and an eye hook DIN EN 1677-2, as well as grade 8. At the other end, the wire rope is annealed to make fixing in a wire rope winch possible without any problems.
High minimum breaking load: the minimum breaking load of the three-arm steel wire rope is as follows:
- 3mm: 591kg
- 4mm: 1.049kg
- 5mm: 1.636kg
- 6mm: 2.355kg
- 8mm: 4.194kg
Attention. The working load of the dreharmen wire ropes is given with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load.
Tested load hooks: Our dreharmen wire ropes are swaged with a high-strength grade 8 load hook. Due to the closed eye, the load hooks can demonstrate very high breaking forces. Using calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of the load hooks could be determined: 4,475kg for 1.12t load hooks and 8,002kg for 2t load hooks. No safety factor is taken into account when specifying the minimum breaking load. It is essential that the working load of the wire ropes is taken into account during use. Use as winch rope: The wire rope is optimally used as winch or crane rope for lifting and pulling suitable loads, especially at high lifting heights and is used both indoors and outdoors. When using the hoist rope, make sure that the winch diameter is at least 20 times the rope diameter.
