Stainless steel shroud turnbuckle terminal black for crimping for 2mm - 6mm ropes
Our black colored and salt water resistant shroud tensioner terminals made of V4A AISI 316 stainless steel are ideally suited for crimping as an end connection and for tensioning steel cables. The rolled terminals can be rolled on or pressed onto the steel cable using hydraulic pressing tools.
When using the shroud tensioners, please make sure to lubricate the threads before tensioning, using a stainless steel assembly paste. The stainless steel assembly paste prevents seizing or cold welding of stainless steel threads.
Tested quality: Due to the processing of V4A stainless steel, the steel cable terminals can also be exposed to difficult weather conditions. In connection with the hydraulic pressing tongs from our online store, the following breaking forces of the terminals could be determined:
2mm with terminals: 326kg
3mm with terminals: 326kg
4mm with terminals: 907kg
5mm with terminals: 968kg
6mm with terminals: 448kg
Attention. The breaking forces of the wire rope terminals are given without safety factor. Please note that a suitable safety factor must be included for their application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.
Easy handling: With the help of our hydraulic crimping pliers, the terminal can be quickly and securely attached to the steel cable. Please note that crimping with a simple hand crimping pliers, such as our 2-in-1 crimping pliers & wire rope scissors, is not possible. Through the shroud tensioner terminal, steel cables can be tensioned and fastened to suitable anchor points without any further connecting element.
Advantage to the terminal with grub screws: Due to the possibility of self-production, the exact length of the steel cable does not have to be defined in advance, but can be individually adapted to the conditions on site and mounted with the pressed terminal. Due to the fixed pressing, a subsequent separation of the steel cable from the terminal, is not possible.
Easy expansion options: Our shroud tensioner terminals can of course be combined with all matching steel cables, eyebolts or other fastening options from the store of Drahtseile24 and pressed with the hydraulic pressing pliers.
