Product description
Silver wire rope with annealing separation in 5-16mm thickness, thimble and eye hook grade 8.
Our silver galvanized steel wire ropes comply with the DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 6x19 and 6x37 and are 6 strands with 19 or 37 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at one end with a DIN 6899 Form B thimble to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. At the other end, the wire rope is annealed to make fixing in the winch as easy as possible. In addition, the wire rope is crimped with an eye hook with safety latch and large eye.
High safety standard: The payload of the steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking force and is crimped according to DIN-EN 12385-4. From a rope diameter of 8mm, there is a marking, according to the mentioned DIN, on the crimping clamp.
Tested load hooks: Our winch ropes are pressed with a high-strength load hook of grade 8. Due to the closed eye, the load hooks can demonstrate very high breaking forces. With the help of calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of the load hooks could be determined:
- 1.12t load hook: 4,475kg
- 2t load hook: 8.002kg
- 3,15t load hook: 12.600kg
Attention. No safety factor is taken into account when specifying the minimum breaking load. It is absolutely necessary to consider the working load of the wire ropes during the application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.
Versatile uses: Wire ropes are used for securing, lifting and suspending suitable loads in trades, bridge, engineering and shipbuilding, among others. Especially as a deflected hoisting or winch rope, provided that the sheave diameter is? 20 of the rope diameter, the wire rope is used.
Various extension options: The wire rope for winches can of course be combined with suitable shackles or suspension links from the store of Drahtseile24.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum radius for a pulley for a 5mm wire rope?
When using it on a cable winch, make sure that the size of the pulley diameter is at least 20 times the rope diameter, so in your case 100mm.
Is there a stopper for the wire rope? My current one has one so that the electric cable winch stops when it is up.
