Product description
Stainless steel rope with annealing separation in 1-10mm thickness with stainless steel ferrule and thimble
Our salt water resistant stainless steel ropes A4(AISI 316) comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19, which are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The Stainless Steel Wire Rope is crimped at one end with a DIN 6899 Form B thimble and a stainless steel V4A crimping clamp to protect the wire rope at the load pick-up point. At the other end, the stainless steel rope is annealed to make fixing in a wire rope winch or rope clamps as easy as possible.
High safety standard: The working load of the Stainless Steel Wire Rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking force and is crimped according to DIN-EN 12385-4.
Tested quality: We only use high quality V4A AISI 316 stainless steel for our Stainless Steel Wire Rope with stainless steel crimping clamps, which allows the wire ropes to be exposed to harsh weather conditions for a long period of time. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. During several test trials, the following minimum breaking loads of Stainless Steel Wire Ropes could be determined:
- 1mm: 62kg
- 1,5mm: 139kg
- 2mm: 248kg
- 3mm: 521kg
- 4mm: 926kg
- 5mm: 1.448kg
- 6mm: 2.085kg
- 8mm: 3.707kg
- 10mm: 5.793kg
Attention. When specifying the minimum breaking load, no safety factor is taken into account. The working load of the stainless steel ropes is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. You can find the detailed test reports under "Test reports" on the article page.
Versatile uses: Stainless steel ropes for winches are specifically used as deflected hoist or winch ropes for boat trailers and trailers. When installing, make sure the sheave diameter is? 20 of the rope diameter.
Various extension options: The winch rope can of course be attached with suitable shackles, snap hooks or load hooks. If you have any questions about their application, please feel free to contact us at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a 2mm rope really only carry 50 kg? I have a 3mm cable winch that is supposed to carry 1,000 kg.
The specification of 50kg refers to the payload to be lifted including a 5-fold safety factor. The 2mm stainless steel rope has a breaking load of 248kg; this breaking load can be used as the payload for loads to be pulled.
