Product description
Stainless steel rope in 2mm - 10mm thickness with thimble, stainless steel press clamp and screw terminal
Our saltwater resistant stainless steel ropes A4(AISI 316) comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19, which are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped on one end with a thimble similar to DIN 6899 Form B to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. At the other end, the wire rope is swaged with a stainless steel screw terminal with metric thread M4, M5, M6, M8, M10, M12, M16 or M20.
Tested quality: We only use high-quality industrial steel with the premium quality V4A AISI 316 for our stainless steel wire ropes, making the stainless steel wire rope resistant to both salt water and acids. With the help of several of our own calibrated universal tensile testing machines, we are able to guarantee seamless quality assurance. The following minimum breaking forces of the stainless steel cables with crimped terminals were determined in several test trials:
- 2mm / M4 threaded terminal with 7x7 steel cable: 336kg
- 2mm / M5 threaded terminal with 7x7 steel cable: 305kg
- 3mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 764kg
- 4mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1,284kg
- 4mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1,254kg
- 5mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.519kg
- 5mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.732kg
- 5mm / M10 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.743kg
- 6mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 2.344kg
- 6mm / M10 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 2.599kg
- 6mm / M12 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 2,640kg
- 8mm / M10 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 4,179kg
- 8mm / M12 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 4.546kg
- 8mm / M16 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 4.781kg
- 10mm / M12 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 4.485kg
- 10mm / M16 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 6.932kg
- 10mm / M20 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 6.116kg
Attention! The breaking forces of the terminals are specified without a safety factor. Please base your application on at least a 5-fold safety factor (example 3mm / 7x19 / threaded terminal: 764kg (breaking load) : 5 (safety factor) = 152kg (payload)). The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.
Individual length production: We manufacture your stainless steel wire ropes with threaded terminal to fit exactly for you. Simply select the desired length range of your required length and write your desired length in the comment field provided. The underlying dimensions, please refer to the technical details.
Versatile applications: Stainless steel terminal ropes can be used for suitable guy wires for sailboats, for facade greening or for stainless steel railings. Due to their corrosion resistance, stainless steel ropes are increasingly used outdoors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the specified length (desired size) refer only to the steel cable or is the length specified including the two terminals at the ends?
The specified length (desired size) refers to the complete usable length from the end of the thread to the load-bearing point of the thimble. You will find a representation of the length of the wire rope under the technical details.
I would like to combine or use the thread terminal with a rope tensioner. Is there anything I need to take into account?
The metric thread of the terminal must be the same size as that of the turnbuckle. Furthermore, it must be a stainless steel turnbuckle. Turnbuckles with hooks and eyes have a left-hand thread, the terminals of the wire ropes are equipped with a right-hand thread as standard, but can be pressed with a left-hand thread on request.
I would like to use a 2mm thick stainless steel cable for a cable pull. What is the minimum size the pulleys should be?
The pulley should have a diameter of at least 20 times the rope thickness, i.e. 40mm.
