Product description
Stainless steel rope in 3mm - 6mm thickness with screw terminal and lens head terminal
Our salt water resistant stainless steel ropes A4(AISI 316) comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 1x19, 7x7 and 7x19, these are one or 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. Stainless steel ropes with the 1x19 construction are considered "stiff" and less flexible due to the low number of individual wires. 7x7 and 7x19 constructions, on the other hand, offer high flexibility due to the high number of individual wires. The wire rope is crimped on one end with a stainless steel threaded terminal with metric thread M6, M8, M10 or M12. At the other end, the rope is crimped with a lens head terminal to be able to attach it to suitable anchor points.
Tested quality: We only use high-quality industrial steel with the premium quality V4A AISI 316 for our stainless steel wire ropes, making the stainless steel wire rope resistant to both salt water and acids. With the help of several of our own calibrated universal tensile testing machines, we are able to guarantee seamless quality assurance. The following minimum breaking forces of the stainless steel cables with crimped terminals were determined in several test trials:
- 3mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 764kg
- 4mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1,284kg
- 4mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1,254kg
- 5mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.519kg
- 5mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.732kg
- 5mm / M10 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.743kg
- 6mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 2.344kg
- 6mm / M10 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 2.599kg
- 6mm / M12 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 2,640kg
- 3mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 1x19: 759kg
- 4mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 1x19: 1,498kg
- 4mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 1x19: 1,529kg
- 5mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 1x19: 1,580kg
- 5mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 1x19: 1.988kg
- 5mm / M10 threaded terminal with steel cable 1x19: 2.038kg
- 6mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 1x19: 2.508kg
- 6mm / M10 threaded terminal with steel cable 1x19: 2.956kg
- 6mm / M12 threaded terminal with steel cable 1x19: 2.997kg
Attention! The breaking forces of the terminals are specified without a safety factor. Please base your application on at least a 5-fold safety factor (example 3mm / 7x19 / threaded terminal: 764kg (breaking load) : 5 (safety factor) = 152kg (payload)). The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.
Individual length production: We manufacture your stainless steel wire ropes with threaded terminal and lenticular terminal to fit exactly for you. Simply select the desired length range of your required length and write your desired length in the comment field provided. The underlying dimensions, please refer to the technical details.
Versatile applications: Stainless steel ropes can be used for suitable guy wires, for example, as a filler rope in a wire rope railing. Due to its corrosion resistance, stainless steel ropes are increasingly used in outdoor applications.
Easy extension options: Our stainless steel wire ropes with a lens head and thread terminal can of course be combined with matching stainless steel nuts or washers from the store of Drahtseile24. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Frequently Asked Questions
I have a question about the precise 3mm stainless steel cable with threaded terminal (GT) and lens head terminal (LKT). Installation between 2 fixed angle posts. The GT has to be pulled through the hole in the LKT. 1. The diameter of the GT is 7 mm. 2. The diameter of the LKT is 5.5 mm. So do you have to drill out the LKT hole by at least 7 mm and use larger washers?
Your analysis is correct, but the head of the lens head terminal has a diameter of 9mm and is therefore not pulled through the 7mm hole.
Hello, are the two end terminals included in the rope length you ordered?
The specified length (desired size) refers to the complete usable length from the end of the thread to the load-bearing part of the lens head. You can find a diagram of the length of the wire rope under the technical details.
Is the nut included in delivery?
Yes, a stainless steel cable with threaded terminal always comes with a nut.
