Product description
Stainless steel rope in 1-10mm thickness with stainless steel crimp clamps and thimbles
Our salt water resistant stainless steel ropes A4(AISI 316) comply with the DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19, which are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with V4A stainless steel crimping clamps to form eyelets with thimbles in order to protect the stainless steel wire rope at the load suspension point.
High safety standard: The working load of the stainless steel wire rope is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking force and is crimped according to DIN-EN 12385-4.
Tested quality: We only use high quality V4A AISI 316 stainless steel for our stainless steel wire rope with stainless steel crimping clamps, which allows the wire ropes to be exposed to harsh weather conditions for a long period of time. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. During several test trials, the following minimum breaking loads of stainless steel wire ropes could be determined:
- 1mm: 62kg
- 1,5mm: 139kg
- 2mm: 248kg
- 3mm: 521kg
- 4mm: 926kg
- 5mm: 1.448kg
- 6mm: 2.085kg
- 8mm: 3.707kg
- 10mm: 5.793kg
Attention. When specifying the minimum breaking load, no safety factor is taken into account. The working load of the stainless steel ropes is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. You can find the detailed test reports under "Test reports" on the article page.
Versatile uses: Stainless steel wire ropes are used for securing, lifting and suspending suitable loads in the craft, bridge, engineering and shipbuilding industries, among others. In addition, they continue to be used as a decorative element in garden or shop window areas.
Various extension options: The stainless steel cable can, of course, be tensioned with matching turnbuckles and attached with snap hooks, shackles or quick links. If you have any questions about their application, please feel free to contact us at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions
How high can the 4mm stainless steel cable support?
The 4mm thick stainless steel rope has a breaking load of 850kg.
I would like to order a special size. Where is the total length measured from?
The specified length (desired size) refers to the complete usable length from the load-bearing point of the thimble to the load-bearing point of the thimble. You can find a representation of the length of the wire rope under the technical details.
Can you pull one loop through the other?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to pull it through with a stainless steel cable with thimbles. Please use a stainless steel cable with loops (https://www.drahtseile24.de/edelstahlseil-mit-schlaufen-mit-edelstahl-pressklemmen).
