Product description
Stainless steel rope plastic coated in 0.7 - 10mm thickness, loop/loop
Our plastic-coated stainless steel ropes V4A (AISI 316) comply with the DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19. These are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope serves optimally for securing in various applications and is increasingly used outdoors due to its high corrosion protection. The stainless steel wire rope is pressed at both ends with a CU clamp to form a loop.
Durable workmanship: the high quality stainless steel wire rope is surrounded by a 0.2-2mm thick transparent plastic sheath to protect against damage and dirt, and for easy handling. The PVC sheath protects your items from abrasion and scratches.
Tested quality: We use only high quality stainless steel for our stainless steel ropes. With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. A works certificate according to DIN EN 10204-2.2 or a meaningful test report can be issued for their application.
Versatile anti-theft protection: The stainless steel ropes can be used as anti-theft devices for garden furniture, patio furniture, baby carriages, bicycles, motorcycles or helmets. Countless goods and objects in the house and garden, as well as in sports and camping can be easily and quickly secured with this wire rope as an anti-theft device.
Wide range of applications: The product can of course be tensioned with suitable turnbuckles and fastened with snap hooks, shackles or quick links.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the information in brackets after the thickness mean? For example, 6mm (4 by 6)?
The numbers in brackets describe the thickness of the wire rope with and without sheathing. In this example, the wire rope without sheathing is 4mm thick and including the plastic sheathing it is 6mm.
What is the diameter of the eyelets of the wire rope?
The loops of the wire ropes are pressed uniformly according to DIN specifications and have a size of the rope diameter factor of 15, resulting in the following loop heights and widths: 3mm (2 to 3): 43mm loop height inside, 20mm loop width inside | 4mm (3 to 4): 46mm loop height inside, 20mm loop width inside | 6mm (4 to 6): 67mm loop height inside, 28mm loop width inside | 8mm (6 to 8): 80mm loop height inside, 34mm loop width inside
To what minimum diameter can the loops of the wire ropes be compressed?
The minimum loop width per rope diameter is listed below: 3mm (2 on 3) rope thickness: 11mm minimum loop width | 4mm (3 on 4) rope thickness: 18mm minimum loop width | 6mm (4 on 6) rope thickness: 25mm minimum loop width | 8mm (6 on 8) rope thickness: 34mm minimum loop width | 10mm (8 on 10) rope thickness: 43mm minimum loop width | 12mm (10 on 12) rope thickness: 58mm minimum loop width
Which diameter is suitable as theft protection?
The 10mm (8 to 10) rope thickness cannot be cut with bolt cutters, but it is also not very flexible. The 6mm (4 to 6) rope thickness is very flexible, but offers only a low level of protection against theft. The most popular rope thickness for anti-theft protection is 8mm (6 to 8), this rope thickness offers both good flexibility and a high level of protection against theft.
Is the length of the rope calculated with or without the loop?
The specified length refers to the complete usable length from the load-bearing point of the loop to the load-bearing point of the loop. You can find a representation of the length of the wire rope under the technical details.
Is it possible to pass one loop through the other loop?
Yes, the loop size allows one loop to pass through the other loop.
Is the coating resistant to UV radiation?
The sheathing of the wire ropes is very UV-resistant. In an outdoor test over a period of more than 3 years, no change in the sheathing could be detected.
Can you get larger loops? The rope diameter is 4mm (3 by 4) and the loop should fit over a 50mm diameter bracket.
A custom-made product with larger loops is generally no problem and can be easily requested by email (info@drahtseile24.de) or using the custom-made form (https://www.drahtseile24.de/sonderlaengenanfrage). You will receive a non-binding offer within 12 hours.
Would it be possible to hang a balcony net here to ensure personal safety? Unfortunately, I can't find any information about the load capacity.
Please use a stainless steel cable without a sheath for personal safety, e.g. https://www.drahtseile24.de/edelstahlseil-mit-schlaufen-mit-edelstahl-pressklemmen. You will also find the respective payloads behind the individual cable thicknesses.
How wide is the outer diameter of the ferrule for the 4mm rope loops?
The diameter of the crimp is always the diameter of the rope thickness x 2. In your example of a 4mm thick wire rope, the crimp has a diameter of 8mm.
