Forst Pulley Black for Steel Ropes & Winches
Our black powder coated pulleys are ideal for the use of steel cables, for example in connection with a cable winch. With the help of the deflection pulley, the guidance, as well as the force distribution within a rope hoist can be changed and a double traction force can be generated. Please note that the pulley shown is the size 95mm and the size 55mm does not have a grease nipple, which can be used to additionally lubricate the pulley.
High quality: The payload of the pulleys is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the breaking load.
Black coating: Due to the use of galvanized steel and a subsequent powder coating, the pulley is very weather resistant and can be used in the best way in the forest.
Easy handling: With the help of the movable axle, the side covers can be easily and quickly rotated apart and the steel cable can be guided onto the pulley. The large eyelet allows the pulley, in conjunction with a shackle and a sheathed steel cable, to be attached to suitable anchor points such as trees.
Versatile applications: Forest pulleys can be used for lifting heavy loads, towing a vehicle, in forestry, on a hoist or in conjunction with a winch. For temporary use, we advise using the 4t pulley up to a rope thickness of 6mm, the 10t pulley up to a rope thickness of 10mm and the 16.3t pulley up to a rope thickness of 16mm. When using sheathed steel cables, only the diameter of the steel cable in the sheath is relevant.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the roller also be used with a normal rope? We would use it in trees or to lower large and heavy branches in a controlled manner after sawing. In this case, the load would fall into the roller after about 2m.
The pulley can of course also be used for ropes other than steel ropes.
How is the roller mounted? With sealed ball bearings or plain bearings?
With plain bearings.
What rope thickness is the pulley suitable for? I asked myself the same question about other pulleys in your shop. Is there a formula for how many mm you have to subtract from the pulley width to get the maximum rope thickness?
For temporary use of wire ropes, we recommend using the 4t pulley for ropes up to 6mm thick, the 10t pulley for ropes up to 10mm thick and the 16.3t pulley for ropes up to 16mm thick. For permanent use of wire ropes, the pulley diameter should be at least 20 times the rope diameter.
What is the total width of the block? That is, the width of the roll plus the sheets.
The total width of the pulleys is as follows: 55mm: 23mm | 95mm: 37mm | 120mm: 45mm.
