Silver Egg-shaped Clamps for 2-6mm Ropes

Our silver galvanized egg shape clamps consist of two metal shells and a countersunk screw and are used for light end connections for wire ropes.

Tested quality: galvanized Eiform wire rope clamps can be used for 2mm - 6mm thick steel ropes. Due to the low breaking forces, we recommend using Eiform clamps for decorative purposes only. Using calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following minimum breaking forces of Eiform clamps could be determined:

• 2mm: 14kg
• 3mm: 30kg
• 4mm: 35kg
• 5mm: 40kg
• 6mm: 61kg

Attention. The breaking forces of the egg-shaped clamps are specified without a safety factor. Please add at least a 3-fold safety factor for your application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.

Easy handling: With the help of a screwdriver, the countersunk screw with both metal shells can be quickly fastened to the steel rope, thus creating a rope end connection. To avoid injury, the "dead rope end" can disappear into the Eiform rope clamp.

Important safety note: Rope end connections with egg-shaped clamps are not suitable for higher loads. For higher payloads, please use hydraulically crimped wire ropes, wire rope clamps according to DIN 741 or crimping clamps according to DIN EN 13411.3 from us.

Easy extension options: Wire rope clamps in egg shape make a very high-quality visual impression and can be used for simple rope end connections with loops or thimbles.
