Stainless steel screw terminal with fork for self-assembly for 3mm - 10mm ropes

Our saltwater resistant fork terminals made of V4A AISI 316 stainless steel consist of an open screw sleeve with internal thread, a cone in which the rope end is clamped, and a fork thread with lock nut, which is fixed in the screw sleeve. Wire rope terminals with a cone screw system have, compared to wire rope terminals with grub screws, a significantly higher breaking load.

Proven quality: the stainless steel screw terminals with fork can be used for 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm & 10mm thick steel ropes. Due to the processing of high-quality and rustproof V4A stainless steel, the fork terminals can also be exposed to difficult weather conditions. Due to the used screw system with cone and screw sleeve, the wire rope terminals achieve high breaking forces. Using calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following minimum breaking forces of the terminals could be determined:

• 3mm with steel cable 7x19: 560kg
• 4mm with steel cable 7x19: 1,172kg
• 5mm with steel cable 7x19: 1,733kg
• 6mm with steel cable 7x19: 2,467kg
• 8mm with steel cable 7x19: 3,924kg
• 10mm with steel cable 7x19: 6,320kg

• 3mm with steel cable 1x19: 723kg
• 4mm with steel cable 1x19: 1,386kg
• 5mm with steel cable 1x19: 1,889kg
• 6mm with steel cable 1x19: 3,058kg

Attention. The breaking forces of the terminals are given without safety factors. Please add at least a 5-fold safety factor for your application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.

Easy handling: The steel cable is first pushed through the screw sleeves and fastened in the cone. With the aid of two suitable wrenches, the eye thread can then be screwed into the screw sleeve. Crimping, as in the case of rolling terminals, is not necessary. By means of a suitable connecting link or a shroud tensioner, the terminal can be fastened or tensioned to anchor points.

Advantages to the rolled terminal: Stainless steel screw terminals with fork for self-assembly can be optimally used as a connecting element to securely fasten stainless steel ropes to suitable attachment points. Due to the possibility of self-assembly, the exact length of the steel cable does not have to be defined in advance, but can be individually adapted to the conditions on site.
