Black wire rope holder with hook for 1mm - 3mm ropes
Our black wire rope holders with hook, snap lock and a lock nut. With the lock nut screwed on, wire and steel ropes can be continuously adjusted in length and then fixed in place with the tightened nut. Wire rope holders are used to suspend suitable loads from wire ropes, adjust their height and do not require any additional tools.
Tested quality: The wire rope holders, also called wire rope grippers, can be used for 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm and 3mm steel ropes. Due to the low breaking forces, we recommend to use wire rope holders only for light suspensions. Using calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following breaking forces of wire rope sliders with hooks could be determined:
- 1mm: 62kg
- 1,5mm: 86kg
- 2mm: 127kg
- 2.5mm: 117kg
- 3mm: 234kg
Attention. The breaking forces of the wire rope holders are given without safety factor. Please apply at least a 5-fold safety factor for your application (example 1,5mm: 86kg (breaking load) : 5 (safety factor) = 17kg (working load)). Easy handling: With the help of the locking nut, the steel cable can be easily and quickly adjusted in height. The wire rope holder is fixed on the rope by the closed lock nut and slipping is prevented. Inside the wire rope holder are three balls, which are held in the cone by a spring. Once the desired height of the wire rope holder is reached, the balls clamp the suspension rope. The wire rope is not damaged during this process.
Versatile applications: Wire rope connections with wire rope holders are only to be used for the application of the determined working loads. When using them, please make absolutely sure that the locking nut is hand-tight, otherwise the wire rope may slip. Wire rope holders can be optimally used for applications where the length has to be adjusted on site. Possible applications for this include suspended pictures, lamps or other objects.
Easy expansion options: Wire rope grippers are very filigree and make a very high-quality optical impression. Of course, our wire rope holders can be combined with all suitable steel ropes of the thicknesses 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm and 3mm from the store of Drahtseile24.
